      Job Title: Electrician (Commercial New Construction)

      Job Description

      We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to work on the construction of the Proton building at Mayo Clinic located in Jacksonville, Florida. The role involves wiring light fixtures with 0-10V dimming controls, trimming out dimmers and receptacles, assembling, installing, and wiring apparatus and fixtures using hand and power tools. Proficiency in bending and running conduit/EMT is essential. The candidate must be able to read and interpret blueprints and install fuse boxes.

      Responsibilities

      • Wire light fixtures with 0-10V dimming controls.
      • Trim out dimmers and receptacles.
      • Assemble, install, and wire apparatus and fixtures using hand and power tools.
      • Bend and run conduit/EMT.
      • Read and interpret blueprints.
      • Install fuse boxes.
      • Use basic electrical hand tools.
      • Perform all phases of electrical work with little to no supervision.

      Essential Skills

      • Minimum 7+ years of commercial electrical experience.
      • Proficiency in bending and running conduit/EMT.
      • Ability to read blueprints and interpret schematics.
      • Familiarity with NEC codes.
      • Experience with high voltage, troubleshooting, terminations, and panels.
      • Must be able to work independently.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Recent experience within the last year.
      • Reliable transportation.
      • Ability to use basic hand tools.

      Work Environment

      You will be performing the electrical scope of work on new construction commercial job sites throughout Jacksonville. The work environment will vary between outdoors and indoors and will require working through various weather conditions, whether it's hot or cold. Contractors must be available to work 5 days a week, 40 hours (Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm). Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including a Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Safety Gloves, Steel-Toed Boots, Hi-Vis Shirt/Vest, and Working Pants.

      This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
