      WHO YOU ARE:
      You are a highly motivated professional ready to join the Facilities Operations and Maintenance team. You are a self- starter skilled in Electrical management for commercial building maintenance, a leader, a problem solver, and a team player. You are knowledgeable of the general principles and theories of electricity and safety regulations and are skilled in using tools.

      WHAT YOU WILL DO:
      The Electrician III performs advanced (senior-level) work in the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and circuits. Work involves installing, replacing, and maintaining electrical systems, apparatus, components of machinery, and equipment. May provide guidance to others. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

      YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:
      -Coordinate the installation, replacement and maintenance of electrical system, apparatus circuits and electrical components of machinery and equipment.
      -Coordinate the inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, lighting, and power circuits.
      -Develop plans and specifications of maintenance and renovation projects.
      -Estimate time and material use on projects
      -Review the layout of electrical wiring to ensure compliance with specifications and electrical codes.
      -Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure compliance with codes.
      -Maintain records and prepare reports on repairs and service to equipment.
      -Plan and coordinate the installation of electrical systems.
      -Plan long-range electrical maintenance programs.
      -Serve as lead worker providing direction to others
      -Perform related work as assigned.

      Minimum Qualifications
      -Graduation from an accredited high school or successful completion of GED certification, plus eight years of full-time experience in the installation, service, and maintenance of electrical fixtures.
      -One year (30 semester hours) of accredited college work with courses in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering may be substituted for each year of experience.
      -Successful completion of a course in the electrical field from a licensed vocational, technical, or business school may be substituted for one year of experience.
