CFAES is one college spread across three campuses, with our faculty and staff split evenly among the three campuses. Comprised of ten academic units including the School of Environment and Natural Resources and Ohio State ATI, plus Ohio State University Extension, CFAES has 22 bachelor’s degree majors, 26 associate degree majors, and 34 minors. The CFAES Marketing and Communications team serves as a strategic resource for the college. The team is responsible for setting marketing and communication strategies and plans that align with the initiatives and priorities of the college. The team supports the recruitment, retention, development, research, outreach, and issues management for the college. They are a group of strategic marketing and communication thinkers and doers who are both proactive and reactive, identifying opportunities and removing challenges to elevate awareness, enhance reputation and ultimately inspire choice for the college. The Email Marketing and Automation Manager reports to the Brand Marketing Lead.
Position Summary
The Email Marketing and Automation Specialist manages CFAES email marketing campaigns. This role schedules emails, creates email content plans and develops emails that adhere with university standards, compliance and best practices. The Email Marketing and Automation Specialist monitors and optimizes email performances.
The Email Marketing and Automation Specialist develops positive audience experiences through strategic content development, audience segmentation and personalization. As a strategic resource and partner in the college, the Email Marketing and Automation Specialist will work collaboratively with departments and offices to develop and manage email campaigns. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills; will be flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and demands.
This is a hybrid role, with a combination of remote and in-office work. This role must be willing to travel across the state for meetings and events.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field and 2 years of email marketing and related experience. Demonstrated working knowledge of HTML and CSS, especially as it pertains to coding marketing emails. Demonstrated knowledge of email campaigns and working in marketing automation tools. Experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Professional work experience with audience segmentation and A/B testing. Demonstrated analytical skills. Technical acumen.Desired Experience
2-4 years of experience; Professional work experience with Adobe Creative Suite. Ability to draw conclusions and insights from data. Experience creating email marketing journeys. Understanding of basic online marketing funnel and how channels work together including Search, SEO, Social, Mobile and Content Marketing.

The pay range for this job profile is $49,800 - $66,400 annually. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, the candidate's qualifications and location.Additional Information:
