      Job summary

      Mount Farm Surgeryare seeking an experienced emergency care practitioner or advanced clinical practitioner to join our innovative and professional teaching practice in Suffolk. This position is offered on a part-time basis for a minimum of 2 days a week, but this is negotiable for the right candidate.

      Working with our existing ECP and the wider practice team, the successful post-holder will manage face to face our acute 'on the day' patients.

      There is scope to develop this role according to the interests of the successful candidate.

      Main duties of the job

      • Telephone triage.
      • Home visiting.
      • Prescribing and undertaking medication reviews.
      • Provide patients with information and guidance on health promotion strategies.

      About us

      Mount Farm Surgery is an innovative and professional teaching practice in Suffolk, located on the outskirts of the cathedral town of Bury St. Edmunds with close links to the A14.

      Our practice team consists of 11 GPs plus a dedicated clinical team including GP trainees, an ECP, 4 nurses, and 2 HCA's. We have a dedicated management team, plus a large team of other administrative staff.

      Our membership of Bury St Edmunds PCN ensures we have an extended team which includes a paramedic home visiting service, on site clinical pharmacists, a practice based social prescriber, and 2 care co-ordinators.

      Qualifications

      Essential

      • Be a registered paramedic, with current HCPC registration and have post-registration experience, ideally with some being in primary care.

      Desirable

      • Educated to Masters degree level.
      • Independent prescribing qualification.
      • Teaching qualification.

      Experience

      • Experience working independently as an ECP or ACP.
      • Able and willing to undertake visits to patients homes and to care homes.
      • Excellent interpersonal skills.
      • Own transport.
      • Ability to work outside working hours when necessary.
