- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
- Driver's License - CA Department of Motor Vehicles -REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management, Business, Marketing, Exercise Science, or related field; or must be enrolled in a 4-year College or University degree, ideally in a degree program concentrating in Public Health, Healthcare Management, Business, Marketing, Employee Benefits, Human Resources, or related field. - REQUIRED
- Utilizes reliable transportation and possesses adequate personal insurance coverage. Demonstrates clean driving record in accordance with requirements of the employer DMV pull notice program and Sharp HealthCare Driver Guidelines.
- Content Design and Development
Assists the Sharp Best Health team in designing and distribution of educational and marketing materials.
Works with department teams to support and create content for Sharp Best Health communication for intranet pages, emails, newsletters, and presentations to include: copywriting, content production and more as needed.
Works with department teams to support and conduct design of new well-being programs and resources including: brainstorming, research, requirements gathering, project definition, planning, assessment, and more as needed. - Project Management and Teamwork
Meeting established deadlines and completing projects as assigned in an accurate and timely manner.
Contributes to the team development by sharing information.
Demonstrates ability to work independently and ask questions when needed.
Sets work priorities, goals, and objectives in consultation with others.
Dedication to enhancement and improvement of skills through training and assisting co-workers with tasks. - On-Site Wellness Programs Implementation:
Serves as a dedicated Sharp Best Health ambassador within Sharp entities (including hospitals and clinics) to spearhead wellness initiatives.
Collaborates closely with the Sharp Best Health team and partners in the system to execute a variety of in-person well-being events, programs, and workshops tailored to employees' needs and interests.
Facilitates engaging presentations, interactive trainings, and hands-on workshops aimed at promoting holistic health and fostering a culture of wellness among staff members. - Administrative Tasks
Assists with data collection, management, and reporting.
Assists with coordination, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wellness initiatives.
Performs other day-to-day tasks related to Sharp Best Health operations.
Responds to employee questions and maintains Sharp Best Health email in-box.
Other duties as assigned.
Travel to various Sharp locations to assist with various programs such as health education rounds and other well-being programs and events. - Microsoft Office tools (Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Knowledge of graphic design tools; such as Canva
- Must have a strong interest in the promotion of health and wellness in a worksite setting.
- Must be driven, self-starting, and coachable while demonstrating a high level of maturity.
- Must be adaptable while working on various initiatives with different teammates
- Strong command of copy writing fundamentals, understanding how to highlight features and benefits to persuade and move an audience toaction
- Ability to drive to various sites required.

$25.300 - $28.114 - $30.927
The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
What You Will Do
The well-being intern is an integral part of the management and implementation of the employee well-being program at Sharp, Sharp Best Health. Sharp Best Health supports Sharp employees in their pursuit of a healthy lifestyle and offers programs and resources that promote the emotional, financial, social and physical well-being of all employees. The intern will provide support for both long and short-term wellness projects, which require organization, research, analysis, planning, development, and/or coordination. This is a hybrid position that involves being in the office or traveling to hospitals 75% of the time to directly engage and support all of Sharp's locations.
