Job summary
Employment Advisor - Band 5
Fixed term: 12 months
Full time - 37.5 hours per week (1 late shift per week, 12-8 pm)

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are dedicated to the principles of social inclusion to work with adults with mild to moderate mental health needs.
Working in Bromley Talking Therapies in conjunction with the DWP the role supports people accessing primary care therapy provision with their employment challenges. The role is a hybrid role that involves working with clients through a mix of home working/clinic-based work, via telephone, and face-to-face appointments.
This could be to help with job retention, assisting people in finding and sustaining paid employment, or voluntary work. As part of a wider team, you will work closely with the psychological therapy team and other agencies.

Main duties of the job
The principal role of the EA is to provide information, advice, and guidance to all Bromley Talking Therapies clients who choose to receive employment support. The EA should work to empower the client to make better decisions about their working lives, and communicate better with their colleagues and managers at work.
The EA is responsible for engaging with the client to establish the client's employment goals. The EA will work with the clinician and the client to produce a personalized action plan to ensure that psychological treatment and employment support are provided to support the individual to improve their mental health and meet their stated employment goals, which may be to improve their current employment or find alternative work.
These employment goals could include:
The EA will work directly with Jobcentre Plus, Work & Health Programme providers, employers, trade unions and employment agencies to support people to stay in employment and secure employment opportunities.
