  The BAE Systems site in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Quality Engineer in support of Combat Mission Systems operations on the 3rd Shift. In this role as a Quality Engineer, you will develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols in a fast paced, heavy manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring requirements are met throughout the painting and processing of equipment.

  Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

  Required Skills and Education

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in an engineering or technical discipline with at least two (2) years of related experience, or the overall equivalent.
  • Requires a solid understanding of Quality Assurance / Quality Control fundamentals and principles.
  • Experience operating within ISO 9001 standards.
  • Strong background in problem solving techniques and analysis (A3, DMAIC, etc).
  • Proficiency in standard and industry related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database applications.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to support 3rd Shift.

  Preferred Skills and Education

  • ASQ certification.
  • Experience working in a quality program in support of government contracts, preferably DoD.
  • Formal training in root cause analysis.
  • Experience implementing APQP in a low-rate, technically complex product environment.
  • Experience with TipQA software.
  • Experience with Testing and Application of Chemical Agent Resistance Coatings.
