Job Description
- Req#: R112880
- Assist in the planning and execution of a diverse range of MITRE-hosted events, including conferences, virtual seminars, division meetings, and networking receptions, in addition to supporting MITRE event presence at externally hosted conferences.
- Aid the development and execution of collateral to support strategic initiatives, including internal and external materials such as fact sheets, paper publications, newsletters, and website content.
- Assist in organizing the engagement calendar and developing the annual engagement report
- Enrolled full-time in an accredited degree seeking program pursuing a degree in English, Marketing/Communications, Advertising or Public Relations or related
- Strong organizational skills with a high quality of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Sustained excellence in academic performance
- Knowledge of HTML, website content management and graphic design a plus
- Previous experience in typesetting documents and Word template layouts is a plus.
- PR, marketing, event planning and/or program management experience
- Previous communication internship experience is a plus
- Demonstrated interest in serving the public

About this position:
From event planning consultation to paper and content production processes and templates, the Engagement Team is a valued resource for MITRE Labs. They help strategize, plan, and manage internal and external engagement opportunities. The Engagement Team is a key component of the MITRE Labs Strategy and Operations office and interfaces regularly with staff across the organization. We are seeking a dynamic, self-start to assistant our engagement efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of events and content.
