ZF North America Inc. has job openings for the position of Engineer III - Software based out of its location in Northville, MI.
Job Duties: Responsible for software testing, validation, documentation, and qualification activities to support on-time product development; Serve as a technical liaison for software testing activities; Develop & program test scripts for HIL automation; Write test procedures & protocols for vehicle & HIL tests; Align SW testing process with engineering teams; Execute, develop documentation for SW test activities (eg, definition & analysis of test plans, test procedures, work orders for lab technicians); Perform specialized testing analysis for manual & automated SW tests; Perform root cause analyses & investigations, error corrections, & testing to resolve incidents; Support processes to improve product quality & efficiency of engineering process; Ensure completion of 8-Ds for testing-development issues; Ensure products can be manufactured, and meet customer specifications & company standards; and Ensure compliance with ZF, environmental, and TS16949 policies & procedures. A hybrid (in-office & telecommute) work schedule is available.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field, plus 1 year of experience in any occupation in which software testing experience was gained, and demonstrated experience with: Automotive domain testing; Testing embedded software; Automotive communication protocols; Scripting/Programming languages; Hardware-in-the-Loop environment; and vSignalyzer, MDA, or other data acquisition/measurement analysis tools.
