Job Description

- Calibrations and validations on a wide range of laboratory equipment to ensure that the equipment is operating to the manufacturer's specifications.
- Conduct validation or qualification tests of new or existing equipment, under internal protocols or external standards
- Prepare reports based on results of validation and qualification tests.
- Maintains tools, manuals and test equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of related Quality Assurance or Validation experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Up to 60% domestic overnight travel
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Experience supporting laboratory equipment (may include, but not limited to, centrifuges, incubators, refrigeration, ultra-low freezers).
- ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 Calibration
- GxP and GDP
- Microsoft Suite
- Work independently at customer site with minimal direction

Position Summary: This is a remote based position; in the Boston, MA area, that works at the customer site to ensure customer happiness by providing installation qualification, operational qualification, and performance qualification (temperature mapping), that keeps equipment operating safely and effectively. Provides experienced level support to one or more Thermo product lines or applications. Actively promotes service offerings, new products, and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
Work Environment
Customer facing position with 60% overnight travel and local travel within the Boston, MA area. Specific job duties include: driving company vehicle to a customer site, talking to customers on the phone and in person, working on customer equipment, writing service reports and expense reports, and installing instrumentation.

While in customer locations, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds regularly and independently, lift and/or move up to 75+ pounds occasionally.
