      About this role

      The Engineering Graduate Program (EGP) at Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) is a global 12-month program where you are offered the perfect mix of on-the-job learning and diverse training modules. You will get the chance to use your technical and creative engineering skills while gaining valuable experience working with real products on real business topics.

      The Volvo Group North America Engineering Graduate Program (EGP) does not offer current or future sponsorship. Individuals with temporary visas or who require sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for the program.

      Besides your manager, who will guide and support you in your daily job, you will have a supportive network of peer graduates, colleagues across the globe and senior leaders to help you excel. We hope you will learn as much from us as we will from you.
      You will have the opportunity to travel across the globe, exploring different sites, markets and working with people from several nationalities. This is a permanent position and you will be given a motivating hands-on role, working in a diverse, international and cross-disciplinary environment.

      As an Engineer for Exterior Light, you will perform complex and challenging engineering tasks within product development, involving product design, testing and manufacturing of parts and systems, you will have the possibility to influence the future for your components and system. Some of your activities and responsibilities:

      • Be a component or system responsible, being accountable for complete deliveries with Quality, Timing, Cost & Feature
      • Solve real world engineering problems involving the design, testing and/or manufacturing of Vehicle Front parts and systems
      • Manage and administrate design solutions and ideas through a cross-functional network of people and processes.
      • Explore and development advanced concepts for future products
      • Lead Cross-functional coordination with counterparts in other departments and/or suppliers to facilitate and meet project requirements
      • You will be a member of Vehicle Front Team, which is responsible to develop and deliver major aesthetic and brand unique components & systems for Volvo and Mack Trucks, including signature Headlamps and Lighting systems, Grilles, Hoods, Bumpers, and mounting elements. We are a passionate, experienced, collaborative, diverse and enthusiastic Engineering Team.

      Minimum Requirements:

      • B.S. or M.S. degree in one of the following fields: Data Science, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Automation, Electrical engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems or similar.
      • Master’s degree is preferable.
      • To have graduated no more than 2 years ago and with a maximum of two years working experience prior to, or after graduation.
      • Fluent in English and have an international mind-set.
