Business Need / Purpose of Role:
Assist the Engineering Team with day-to-day needs and contribute to the improvement of processes, practices, and products across various engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:
Including but not limited to:

• Support team members in the continual improvement of engineering processes.
• Assist in the development of processes that are repeatable and safe.
• Participate in the maintenance and repair of equipment as necessary.
• Assist in training team members on machines and processes.
• Complete engineering tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Respond quickly to team members when issues arise.
• Ensure standards are adhered to and parts/products are of high quality and produced according to specifications.
• Use metrics and visual management systems to define, measure, and improve performance to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Continually develop and train on new skills and processes.
• Update and create work instructions.
• Maintain, sustain, and improve standardized countermeasures/best practices.
• Observe all safety and ISO requirements.
• Adhere to the organization’s code of conduct, time and attendance, and all other company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications:

• Current student with or working towards a B.S. in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in engineering disciplines relevant to the internship a plus.
• Strong knowledge of engineering processes, methodologies, and technologies.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and other engineering tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and Bill of Materials a strong plus.

Work Environment:

• The noise level in the work environment will vary. In certain areas of the facility, personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and ear plugs.
