What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Integrate information and other literacies into the College of Engineering and College of Computing and Information Science curriculum
- Provide research and reference services and scholarly communication support
- Deliver support for entrepreneurship initiatives and provide library services to the New York City campus
- Engage in service, scholarship, and ongoing professional development
- Collaborate with colleagues across unit libraries in the Cornell University Library system
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree in library and/or information science from an ALA-accredited institution or advanced degree in a related discipline
- 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in public services in a library setting
- Demonstrated interest and/or background in engineering, computer science, information science, and/or other STEM-related disciplines
- Ability to continuously learn new skills, technologies, and methods
- Excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience providing research and teaching and learning services in an academic or research library
- Knowledge of instructional design, teaching practices, and/or assessment principles
- Working knowledge of scholarly communication, data management, and other research-related services
