Job Description

- Perform computer aided drafting activities with general supervision utilizing software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, Inventor, etc. as required to convert basic customer drawings to CoorsTek drawings for new and existing products and/or revisions.
- Perform engineering calculations required to properly configure drawings including pre-fired and post-fired dimensions.
- May create Bill of Materials (BOM’s) and/or routings, generate costing information for incoming or re-occurring orders through understanding of manufacturing processes.
- May check incoming customer prints/drawings for completeness and readability and communicate any errors or concerns to appropriate team members.
- May maintain database of processed engineering parts and orders to ensure that the files are up to date.
- Assist engineers or other technical personnel in the design of processes, products, design changes, process improvements, product formulations, or equipment by working on segments of development projects either independently or in a team setting as required.
- Work with engineers to recommend solutions to customers or manufacturing team to improve production methods and/or quality of product.
- Participate on teams while researching root cause analysis, scrap issues, and other technical issues.
- Work closely with Trade Compliance and local personnel involved in export/import activity ensuring all Company and customer confidential information and/or intellectual property are handled per Corporate Trade Compliance guidelines.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities through research, benchmarking, and identification of improved methods or tools to increase efficiency.
- May analyze test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, and modify or adjust designs to meet specifications.
- May gather, record, and maintain technical data including test procedures and results, drawings, numerical, and graphical data.
- May assist in the design and ordering of production tooling.
- May provide training/cross-training in equipment, software, and process operations to ensure employees have a thorough understanding of departmental functions.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two or more years of relevant experience.
- Ability to perform detail oriented tasks utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as intermediate math and computer skills.
- Excellent listening skills necessary.
- Requires advanced proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
- Possess a general knowledge of materials and characteristics including material formulations and shrink rates for manufacturing product lines.
- Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Hourly: USD 22.98 - USD 26.80Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
