      Primary Responsibilities:

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Ensure the quality of files is consistently high, and accurate with regards to audio fidelity, timing, and other finer guidelines that need to be followed for the format.

      • Creating English files, as well as correcting all errors while proofing a file and ensure the file is checked against reference materials related to the project, conforms to department guidelines and/or client specifications, and the final product is consistent and error-free.

      • Footnoting cultural references and expressions as an aid to translators.

      • Adhering to deadlines for all assignments.

      • Communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and coordinators regarding the status of work as well as reporting problems as soon as they occur.

      • Follow department-specific schedules and guidelines and demonstrate adherence to the schedule.

      • Support root cause analysis for English quality issues.

      • Provide support for other product lines such as English templates, dialogue lists and spotting lists as needed.

      • Actively participate in all job/personal knowledge training program.

      • Other duties as assigned by the Senior or Team Lead.

      What you bring:

      The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill set:

      • Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Translation, Creative Writing, or relevant equivalent

      • 1-2 years of experience working in transcribing or QCing English subtitles and captions

      • English native speaker or ILR Level 5 proficiency

      • Exceptional audio sensitivity – ability to understand a variety of English accents, including regional accents from the US, UK, Australis and other English speaking regions

      • Must be organized, diligent, and detail-oriented

      • Ability to exercise critical thinking and analysis, apply good judgement and research when faced with ambiguous situations

      • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment with hard deadlines

      • Strong collaboration skills to ensure success across the team

      • Ability to work independently
