      Position: Contract CPA - Corporate Tax Specialist

      Location: Remote/Flexible

      Employment Type: Contract

      Hours: Part-Time/Project-Based

      At The Income Tax Center, we specialize in providing comprehensive tax, accounting, and advisory services to empower businesses to achieve their financial goals. We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CPA to join our team on a contract basis to assist with corporate tax preparation, including partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.

      Responsibilities
      • Prepare and review corporate tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
      • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
      • Conduct detailed analysis and reconciliation of financial data to support accurate tax filings.
      • Identify and implement tax-saving opportunities and strategies for clients.
      • Provide expert guidance on tax planning and year-end strategies tailored to business entities.
      • Collaborate with internal teams and communicate effectively with clients to gather required financial documents.
      • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and advise the team on potential impacts to clients.
      • Assist with responding to tax notices and conducting IRS or state agency correspondence, as needed.

      Qualifications
      • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
      • Minimum of 15 years of experience in corporate tax preparation, including partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
      • Deep knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, tax regulations, and corporate tax structures.
      • Experience with ProSeries tax software and proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks.
      • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
      • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently on complex tax issues.
      • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
      • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

      Preferred Qualifications:
      • Experience with multi-state tax filings and international tax issues.
      • Knowledge of tax strategies for closely held businesses and multi-entity structures.
      • Familiarity with advanced tax strategies, including Section 199A, 179, and tax credits.
      • Successfully completed the uniform CPA examination by the AICPA and hold CPA certification that complies with the state board of accountancy regulations
      • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required, preference to candidates with an MBA
      • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
      • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
