What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare long-term care rate increase filings
- Analyze data using spreadsheets, databases, and other resources
- Build and maintain actuarial models and exhibits for client projects
- Draft client communications, including emails, letters/reports, and presentations
- Assist with research and business development projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 upon graduation, with preference for candidates with a 3.5 or higher
- Working knowledge of Excel and Word processing software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with healthcare or health data
- Familiarity with cloud computing
- Computer and statistical programming experience, including VBA, SAS, Python, R, and/or Databricks
- Ability to work independently
