- Participate in the planning, design and construction administration of water, wastewater and municipal infrastructure facilities/projects
- Conduct site visits, surveys and inspections, and assist with data collection and compilation for utility infrastructure projects
- Prepare reports, develop design plans, specifications and cost estimates
- Review Subdivision, Land Development, Grading and Zoning plans, including review and development of Stormwater Management and Erosion and Sediment Control plans
- Prepare federal, state and local permit applications
- Perform construction observation and field engineering services
- Prepare grant/funding applications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- 0 - 2 years’ of related experience in water/wastewater engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to assist in/conduct effective client presentations and prepare written reports.
- Progressive experience in evaluation, design, permitting and construction administration of infrastructure improvements will be favorably considered.
- Physically able to perform work in the field.
- Team player possessing strong planning and organizational skills.
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite and use of standard engineering software.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, or the ability to obtain Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification within 3 months of hire.
- Experience working with municipal and private utilities is a plus
- Working knowledge of BIM, Civil 3D, GIS, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling and other specialty engineering software also beneficial

The Entry Level Water Engineer will assist in the planning, design, and construction of water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include conducting site visits, preparing reports and design documents, reviewing development and stormwater plans, supporting permitting efforts, and performing construction observation and field services.
