What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct comprehensive on-site inspections of food service establishments, tourist accommodations, and public swimming facilities to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Issue citations and warnings for violations and work with businesses to implement corrective action plans
- Respond to and investigate public complaints regarding potential health hazards
- Develop and deliver engaging food handler training courses and provide educational resources on environmental health topics
- Document findings thoroughly using photographs and detailed reports

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Possession of registration as an Environmental Health Specialist in the State of Oregon or NEHA
- Possession of an Oregon driver's license
- Relevant work experience, volunteering, education, or transferable skills as qualifying criteria
