What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Complete training in Virginia Department of Health soils, food, or shellfish programs
- Obtain necessary credentials within 18 months in relevant program areas
- Conduct inspections and investigations to enforce local, state, and federal regulations
- Communicate effectively with the public and internal/external partners
- Travel within the district to perform job duties

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public and staff
- Knowledge in biology, chemistry, and/or mathematics
- Ability to access and walk over remote land parcels
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Valid State Driver's License required

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience as an Environmental Health Associate or in a related field
