What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform highway traffic noise assessments and identify potential noise receivers and measurement sites
- Extract spatial and traffic data for noise modeling from various sources
- Build traffic noise models using Traffic Noise Model (TNM) software
- Collect traffic noise data using sound level meters and relevant software
- Summarize findings in technical reports and perform related duties as necessary

What is Required (Qualifications):
- BA/BS in environmental studies, urban planning, GIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in Traffic Noise Analysis and sound measuring equipment
- Proficiency in TNM software (Federal Highway Administration Traffic Noise Modeling software)
- Experience using ESRI software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst)
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- TNM 2.5 Training Certification
- Experience with noise barrier analysis
- Familiarity with TxDOT Traffic Noise guidelines
- Traffic Noise Analysis experience on three or more highway projects in the past three years
- Experience using sound level meter software such as Brüel & Kjær Integrating-averaging Sound Level Meter
