Job Description
- Req#: 1449
- Knowledge of monitoring residents and contractor’s performance with respect to cleansing, waste collection and/or other public realm or similar areas
- Experience and ability to promote waste minimisation, recycling and other waste management initiatives or other direct customer facing experience.
- Experience in using IT and a working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Evidence of use of the Lambeth values of equity, ambition and accountability

About the Team:
Environmental Services provides waste and cleansing services including Commercial Waste, Pest Control and Ancillary Services to Lambeth residents. The Commissioning and Performance team within Environmental Services provides project management, policy advice, procurement, data management and communication and outreach services.
About the Role:
It is an exciting time to join the team, the role will involve managing recycling education activities and in-the-field monitoring which supports the delivery of the borough’s initiative to increase recycling and reduce general waste.
This initiative is a key part of Lambeth’s Waste Strategy which prioritises the sustainable management of waste in accordance with waste hierarchy: to encourage waste reduction and reuse, maximise recycling and composting, and limit the amount of residual waste that requires treatment through energy recovery,
The post will be designed to drive behaviour change in residents and will contribute to the step change required for Lambeth to meet the climate emergency challenges by moving towards a more sustainable, circular economy approach to resource management.
