What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Produce visual impact assessments (VIA) and coordinate technical writing efforts
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to address project needs and solve problems
- Conduct project site visits and fieldwork, typically requiring travel of 10-20% annually
- Support general planning and permitting for power generation and transmission projects
- Manage multiple projects while ensuring attention to detail and quality

What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3 to 5 years of experience in producing or supporting visual impact assessments
- Strong research, analysis, and reporting abilities, with excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to interpret site layouts, topographic maps, and aerial photographs
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Experience in power generation, electrical transmission, or utilities

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with VIAs in compliance with environmental review criteria
- Familiarity with federal agencies and their assessment methods for visual impacts
- Proficiency with tools such as DSLR cameras, Autodesk 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Knowledge of shadow flicker analyses for wind energy projects
