      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Supervise environmental specialists conducting inspections of underground storage tank (UST) facilities for compliance
      - Coordinate inspection activities to ensure goals are met and inspections are performed consistently
      - Hire, train, and ensure inspectors receive appropriate health and safety training
      - Serve as an expert witness in administrative hearings regarding UST technical requirements, if necessary
      - Provide technical assistance to the regulated community and the public through various communication methods

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in agricultural, biological, engineering, environmental, or natural resource sciences, or a closely related field
      - Three years of progressive experience in environmental work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
      - Demonstrated knowledge of local, state, and/or federal environmental programs, statutes, and regulations
      - Experience in planning, organizing, and coordinating the work of others
      - Proven ability to communicate information effectively through written and verbal communication

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Basic knowledge of the fate and transport of petroleum hydrocarbons and other contaminants in soil and groundwater
      - Familiarity with UST systems and compliance with state and federal regulations
