      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide direct support for the Nonpoint Source Program and manage federal water quality grant projects
      - Conduct stream water quality monitoring, habitat assessments, and lake watershed surveys
      - Provide technical assistance to prospective and active grantees, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
      - Identify pollution sources and stressors through watershed analysis and support watershed-based plan development
      - Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including municipalities and conservation districts

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - A combination of six (6) years of education and/or experience in environmental, biological, physical science, or engineering, including two (2) years of environmental experience
      - Must have at least 15 credit hours of science or engineering coursework from an accredited institution
      - Strong communication, customer service, and group leadership skills
      - Demonstrated ability to think creatively when analyzing problems
      - Familiarity with water quality monitoring and Best Management Practices for nonpoint source pollution

      - Knowledge and interest in watershed management and nonpoint source pollution issues
      - Experience working cooperatively with diverse stakeholders, including local resource stewardship groups and private landowners
      - Strong personal initiative and work ethic
