      Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is hiring for Epic RN Analysts I and II. Applicants hired at the Epic RN Analyst I level are considered trainees within the Epic RN Analyst series. This position will learn how to perform the moderately complex systems analysis and applications programming, and learn how to serve as a resource for implementing technical solutions and clinical information to meet customer business needs and function in a support role on one of our major new development project teams. Successful training with provide Epic RN Analysts I with the necessary skills and knowledge to qualify for promotion to Epic RN Analyst II.

      Applicants hired at the Epic RN Analyst II level are considered journey level within the Epic RN Analyst series. Incumbents in these positions will utilize their professional expertise to perform moderately complex systems analysis and applications programming, and will serve as a resource for implementing technical solutions and clinical information to meet customer business needs. The Epic RN Analyst II will function in a support role on large-scale development project teams. Incumbents work with internal Epic Analysts and technical staff to conceptualize function, data structures and best fit, and create functional specifications to meet customer expectations.

      ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
      Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

      CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

      Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a physical, background investigation, and verification of employment history, certifications, and education.

      Epic Certification: Incumbent must obtain EPIC certification in every assigned module within 90 days of hire. The Clinical Informatics Department in collaboration with the Epic implementation executive team will reserve its right to extend beyond 90 days if the core training class schedule falls outside the 90-day hiring period. If certification is not obtained after 90 days of hire or the dedicated extended time allowance, the incumbent’s employment will be terminated.

      Training & Travel: Applicants must be able to sit in a training room for up to 8 hours a day. Applicant may need to travel to Verona, Wisconsin by airplane for training on an as needed basis. Travel expenses will be paid for by San Bernardino County.

      License: A valid California Class C Real ID/driver license, Passport or Military ID and proof of automobile liability insurance is required at time of hire.

      On-Call: Incumbents may be placed "On-Call" for nights, weekends and holidays depending on the certified module.

      Vaccination Requirement: Per the December 24, 2021 updated CA State Public Health Officer Order, all workers who provide services or work in facilities described in subdivision (a) of the order, including clinics and doctor offices, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In addition, CDPH Public Health Officer Orders updated on February 22, 2022 requires all workers in health care settings currently eligible for boosters, who provide services or work in the impacted facilities must be “fully vaccinated and boosted” for COVID-19 by March 1, 2022.       Vaccination Exemptions: Upon hire, candidates will be required to submit proof of vaccination including the booster dose or request an exemption from the vaccination and booster requirements based on either religious belief or medical reasons


      EPIC RN ANALYST I
      Candidates must meet both of the following:

      License: Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.

      -AND-

      Experience: 2 years of experience working in an acute care hospital as a registered nurse or a large healthcare organization.

      Substitution : Possession of a current Epic certification can substitute one (1) year of experience.

      EPIC RN ANALYST II
      Candidates must meet all of the following:

      License: Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nurses.

      -AND-

      Certification: Must have current Epic Certification in one or more modules obtained through Epic Systems Corporation.

      -AND-

      Experience:
      • Option 1: One (1) year of experience as an Epic RN Analyst I with ARMC.
      • Option 2: One (1) year of experience as an Epic RN Analyst on an Epic implementation team.
      • Option 3: One (1) year of experience as an Epic RN Analyst providing user support for Epic Systems.

      The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse who is certified in one (1) or more Epic modules with extensive experience in the field of clinical informatics, serving as a subject matter expert in the implementation and support of Epic Systems in an acute care hospital setting.

      There will be a competitive evaluation of qualifications based on the information provided in your Application and the Supplemental Questionnaire. Applicants that are placed on the eligible list will be required to take a Logic Test provided by EPIC and hosted by San Bernardino County. The most highly qualified candidates will be referred to the department for an interview.
