Schedule: Full Time
Shift: Day 7:00am-3:30pm
The role you’ll contribute:
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility for maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Receive, deliver, and maintain accurate inventory of clinical equipment, including logistics of rental equipment. Additional responsibility includes coordinating equipment movement, storage, and handling to guarantee that it is delivered to the appropriate clinical area at the right time and in the best condition.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Acts as a liaison between AdventHealth and outside vendors to reduce the time equipment is out of service (beds, specialty mattresses, stretchers etc.).
· Counts inventory levels and enters these counts into a hand-held device or procures inventory by creating requisitions for necessary equipment. Follows up on purchase orders, tracks movement of equipment and documents any return or receipt of equipment through the appropriate inventory system as required. Manages data input for inventory control in the information system.
· Assists in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tagging of equipment and monitoring location of equipment.
· Works in conjunction with Clinical, Engineering, Biomed and Asset Management, as needed, to coordinate repair of broken equipment. With Biomed, monitors and tracks pumps. With Asset Management, defines useful life of currently owned equipment, and recommending repair/replace scenarios.
Accountable for equipment rental logistics and offers process improvement ideas and additional responsibilities core to support the clinical team.
!*!The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Knowledge and Requirements:
· Working knowledge with computers that include Microsoft Suite(Outlook, Excel, Word PowerPoint, etc.), ERP, and hand-held device
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
· Ability to manage stress and handle challenging situations and personalities
· Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively to carry out job requirements
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
· Current knowledge of medical terminology or hospital operations experience
· Knowledge of supply chain methodologies, which include inventory control concepts
· Knowledge of professional emergency preparedness and equipment logistics
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
· Experience with inventory and equipment management
· Previous material management or hospital services support experience
· Three years of logistics services OR
· Two years of healthcare clinical equipment coordination experience
