      What you’ll do as an Electrician at HCM:

      Work with a world-class automotive industry team to ensure smooth and seamless functioning of the equipment in your department using your electrical, communication and continuous improvement skills. Working with a team or independently your role will be to keep our lines running by performing PM activity or production call support.

      • Work in a fast-paced team-orientated flexible manufacturing environment
      • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment under standardized procedures
      • Work order generation, investigation and countermeasure activity
      • Downtime call support; fast equipment recovery and decision-making
      • Communication including daily shift meetings, feedback for planners and team leaders, activity assignment and coordination.
      • Preparation, scheduling and coordination of non -production activity
      • Parts sourcing including quote initiation, vendor negotiation, and part verification
      • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment
      • New equipment specification review and support including commissioning checks, and risk assessments
      • Incident report creation including deep problem-solving / root cause investigation
      • Ad hoc continuous improvement projects
      • Data entry using Maximo

      What we need from you:

      • Industrial Electrician (442A) or Construction and Maintenance Electrician(309A) Trade License with related Post-Secondary diploma or equivalent work-related experience or Electrical, Electronics, Robotics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma or similar Technologist Diploma
      • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as a Licensed Electrician
      • Ability to work a three-shift rotation
      • Strong computer skills that include Microsoft Word and Excel
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Willing and able to work plant shutdowns, weekends and holidays – These are crucial times to have our hands on the equipment
      • Willing and able to work overtime, sometimes on short notice – Manufacturing is ever-changing, and flexibility is key

      It would be a whole lot cooler if you had:

      • Robot programming experience (Fanuc)
      • Motion control knowledge including Servo and Variable Frequency Drives
      • Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics and ladder diagrams
      • Strong PLC system knowledge and ladder logic programming experience (Mitsubishi)
      • Effectively utilize measurement equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures (Scope, DMM, etc)
      • Experience with Maximo System for logging maintenance activity and ordering parts
      • Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and transfer equipment
      • Project management experience (Ability to manage contractors and construction projects)
      • Equipment integration experience that includes installation, setup, troubleshooting and commissioning

      Additional Information:

      Equipment Services (Ticketed): $49.22 per hour plus bonuses and overtime

      Equipment Services Technologist (Non-Ticketed): Upto $49.22 per hour plus bonuses and overtime
