      What is Templeton Global equity Group responsible for?

      The Templeton Global Equity Group believes in a forward-looking and price disciplined approach to investing that focuses on company fundamentals as the driver of value creation will generate superior returns for clients over the long term. We call our approach “compound value” to reflect the importance of combining these key elements into our assessment of all investment opportunities.

      We are currently seeking a Senior Equity Research Analyst to cover the Technology or Communications Services sectors. The ideal Analyst will have 8 to 12 years of either related research experience in fundamental analysis with a value discipline in one or both sectors, will be a creative thinker, and have direct experience making price-based investment recommendations as a trusted partner in the equity investment process. Or, have extensive experience as a financial analyst within a global technology company providing analysis to support corporate decisions on capital allocation including R&D spend, M&A as well as financial reporting and controls.

      We will consider candidates with a variety of backgrounds in investment management and industry as long as each candidate has demonstrated track record of quantitative financial analysis supporting investment or capital allocation decisions. This position will reside either in London or Edinburgh.       What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Equity Research Analyst?

      • Independently identify and evaluate profitable investment opportunities amongst listed in the US and broader Americas.
      • Conduct thorough fundamental analysis of a company’s business and financial position, including cash flow analysis, balance sheet and income statement evaluations, and draw insightful conclusions.
      • Communicate and advocate for investment opportunities verbally and through written research reports.
      • Contribution to relevant equity portfolios as a team member

      What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

      • Extensive fundamental equity research experience covering the Technology or Communication Services sectors
      • Strong numeric, analytical and investment skills
      • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
      • Investment performance track record an asset.
      • Bachelor's degree and CFA required. MBA preferred.

      This role carries a Certified Person designation under the FCA’s Senior Managers & Certified Regime. This means you will be responsible for compliance with SM&CR and its related Policies, including adherence to the Conduct Rules.
