What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze, investigate, and appropriately adjust tax documents and payments for various tax types
- Conduct comprehensive research to resolve return/payment errors in communication with taxpayers and team members
- Process low volume returns within the tax system
- Stay updated on laws, regulations, and best practices related to taxation
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of one year of related experience in a relevant field
- Working knowledge of banking credits and debits, accounting, and taxation
- Proficient in the use of MS Office applications and tax reporting systems
- Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills
- Ability to analyze and evaluate taxpayer claims and perform detailed examinations of state tax documents

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in research and analytics of complex tax situations
- Experience with Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, and/or LEAN methodologies
- Background in fast-paced production environments demonstrating accuracy and speed
