- Complete H&P upon admission and assess residents’ medical status throughout the duration of treatment
- Develop and update the treatment plan
- Provides education about medication and other health-related issues
- Facilitate therapeutic groups
- Monitor patient safety (including eating disordered behaviors) and intervene with recovery-focused directives.
- Monitor bathroom activities and break times.
- Monitor and support residents during meals and snacks.
- Report any changes in the residents’ physical and emotional well-being to the treatment team.
- Participating in rounds and treatment team meetings with the multidisciplinary team
- Participate in regular department meetings and staff training
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability, responding positively to changing situations in the work setting.
- Demonstrating tact, initiative, resourcefulness, a professional manner, enthusiasm, and a non-judgmental attitude

The primary role of the Nurse (RN or LPN) at The Renfrew Center is to support residents diagnosed with eating disorders in their wellness and recovery. Nurses provide support by maintaining a therapeutic environment, providing medical care, and applying appropriate interventions congruent with the Unified Treatment Model.
Position Responsibilities:
Education, Competencies and Credentials:
· Current and unrestricted PA nursing license. (New grads welcome!)
· Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
· 1-year psychiatric and medical/surgical experience preferred.
· CPR/AED certification required. Online CPR certification will not be accepted.
Hours: 40 hours per week, 3p - 11p or 11p - 7a shifts
