- Execute on meeting requirements, plans and schedules for assigned meetings.
- Requirements include but are not limited to invitations, registration, air and ground travel, food and beverage, audio visual, amenity selection, site inspections and selection, billing reconciliation, program evaluations and follow-up with minimal direction.
- Execute meetings within established budget and ensure timely and accurate processing of meeting planning expenses.
- Establish relationships with immediate team and internal customers to provide a collaborative and proactive approach to the successful planning and implementation of all programs.
- Provide high quality, effective meeting planning support and onsite support, as required.
- Support other team members in the execution of meetings.
- Collaborate across group, divisions and business units, as required.
- Assist in the development of detailed program budgets, control documents and tracking information for every program. Complete all required documents and follow policies and procedures to ensure compliance and continuity of all programs.
- Own and manage distribution lists for meetings and events across various channels and report communication metrics on a regular basis.
- Assist in collecting and analyzing feedback to provide recommendations for future program enhancements or changes.
- Assist in projects with outside agencies responsible for providing support for meeting messaging and branding.
- Maintain a high degree of self-motivation, generate fresh ideas, keep current with internal and external design trends and foster positive team interaction.
- Act in the best interest of Stryker, reflecting the values of teamwork, collaboration and mutual respect.
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalency of 6 additional years
- 2+ years of work experience required
- 2+ years event planning or project management experience preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
