Supervise front-of-house operations include recruiting, hiring, training, and managing student workers and volunteers that are part of the Quick Center team and run patron services, parking, concessions, safety (in coordination with University’s Public Safety), etc. to make each event a positive experience for a diverse audience.
In addition, the Events Coordinator will liaison with the Quick staff to ensure accurate coordination of plans and associated contractual obligations. This includes close work with the technical team to create successful events.
Provide on-site leadership that ensures thorough and detailed execution of event plans and contractual obligations including serving as event manager for Quick performances and lectures, rental engagements, and VIP engagements.
Assist Quick Center Box Office Manager with: pulling ticketing, registration, and membership reports, gathering data for analytics, and assisting with VIP ticketing needs.
Manage concessions including restocking, staffing, and reaching revenue goals
Assist with daily operational tasks for Quick Center camps
Coordinate artist/speaker merchandise at events
Manage request entry for events including: custodial, public safety, etc.
Encourages inclusivity and understanding of the diverse needs of the Quick Center community and brings audience concerns and needs to leadership to ensure thoughtful consideration and timely updates.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Must be well organized, efficient and persistent.
Must be comfortable with the process of planning while experiencing the unpredictability of in-the-moment needs and emergencies, especially when managing large groups of diverse populations.
Must have ability and be comfortable learning computer applications and software including Excel, Word, PACIOLAN (or ticketing software), Raiser’s Edge, Power Point, Drop Box, Prezi, EMS

The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts of Fairfield University serves as a hub of cultural activity offering exceptional performing arts and entertainment programming annually, including our Open VISIONS Forum lecture series, classical, jazz, and world music concerts, dance and theatre performances, circus, family programming, and The Met: Live in HD and National Theatre of London broadcasts. In addition, the Quick is home to a number of University programs and events in support of student engagement and learning, as well as a community hub for rental programs.
The Quick welcomes over 40,000 patrons through our doors annually and serves a broad range of audiences including the University's students and faculty and our regional audience.

An effective Events Coordinator is well-organized, confident, and team-oriented. The Events Coordinator handles activities that are both planned and unexpected and is fully reliable, ethical, and supportive of the Quick Center for the Arts mission and expectations for excellence. In addition, the Events Coordinator should feel comfortable communicating to a wide range of people from students and volunteers, to artists and renters, as well as donors and University VIPs when necessary.
Additional information:
Position requires evening and weekend hours. Applicant must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
