      Position Specific Description

      A leading residential clean energy solutions provider, EverBright provides a platform that designs, proposes and finances solar and storage projects nationwide. EverBright brings together finance and technology, to provide customers with an all-in-one solution for powering their carbon-neutral homes.       The Executive Director, who will present externally as the company’s CFO, will lead a growing team within EverBright responsible for all finance functions of the company, including FP&A, pricing, capital markets, hedging, and compliance. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team that identifies and conducts complex analyses of financial impacts arising from issues and/or decisions facing the company and proposes/executes strategies to maximize financial performance of company, which is expected to originate and finance more than $1 B of transactions in 2023. Your ultimate goal is to help EverBright grow to become the number one company in the home energy market in a sustainable and financially disciplined manner.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Develop short- and long-term financial and economic forecasting and analysis strategy including monthly 5-year strategic forecast, the Monthly Operating Performance Report (MOPR) short term financial forecast, cash flow forecasts, updates to capital expenditure forecast, and forecast updates to credit rating agencies
      • Plan and direct the execution of financial programs through capital markets, banking, and private placement markets
      • Coordinate with sales to develop pricing for various product offerings while identifying opportunities to maximize returns
      • Identify and execute interest rate hedge strategy to protect financial asset value
      • Manage business unit compliance and licensing requirements
      • Collaborate with other departments, including product, operations, and marketing, to ensure alignment of goals and priorities.
      • Develop, coach, and mentor team members

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance or related field
      • MBA, CFA and/or CPA
      • Track record of success in finance, FP&A, and/or capital raising activity
      • Strong understanding of energy sector financial and business models, current trends, emerging technologies, and commercial opportunities
      • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
      • Ability to collaborate, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and solve complex problems

      Job Overview

      This position is responsible for the business development functions of the Company throughout the country and/or a specific geographic region. Leaders in this role are responsible for leading and coordinating key functions of a project such as financial feasibility analysis, engineering/design, project legal review, and financial negotiations. This position plays a key role in building strategic relationships and executing major contracts necessary to support the Company’s generating business growth initiatives.

      • Translates NextEra Energy, Inc. financial, commercial, risk management, technical and operating goals into effective contracting strategies and objectives
      • Develops and maintains effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external strategic partners
      • Oversees and directs the work of internal, cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams through the solicitation and negotiation processes
      • Provides overall leadership and drives key decisions during negotiations
      • Oversees the development of contracts that position the internal project execution team for maximum success
      • Presents with intent to influence decision making by senior management
      • Develops, coaches and mentors team members
      • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

      Required Qualifications

      • High School Grad/GED
      • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
      • Experience: 12+ years
      • Supervisory/Management Experience 6+ years
