Job Description

- Assist with running the office of the COO.
- Drive enterprise wide OMiX projects.
- Assisting with tracking strategy and delivery across the OMiX portfolio.
- Assist with managing and co-ordinating initiatives and workstreams across the OMiX portfolio.
- Performs administrative duties for the COO, including presentations, minutes and other tasks.
- Co-ordinates resources to gather information and may prepare first draft of various reports.
- Prepares presentations with little input from senior.
- Responsible for ensuring relevant matters are included on Exco agendas and committee meetings.
- Required to investigate and research various ad-hoc business-issues, strategic initiatives, and developments.
- Required to respond timeously and professionally to a variety of ad hoc projects, business issues, client requests and stakeholder requests, etc. that impact across the organization.
- Ensures senior is equipped with necessary documentation to proceed with meetings.
- Represents the executive on certain ad hoc projects, meetings and events as required.
- Builds and maintains relationships with executives and senior management in OML Human Capital and across OML.
- High level of contact with external parties, stakeholders and clients as required.
- Prepares reports and presentations for the COO.
- Leads the project management of key events on behalf of the COO.
- Communicating and escalating important issues appropriately.
- Accountable for service delivery through own efforts.

- Postgraduate Financial or Commercial (or any other relevant) degree
- A minimum of 5 years working experience (financial services industry would be an advantage).
- Management Consulting experience highly advantageous.
- A keen interest in the Financial Service Industry.
- Experience of working with senior level clients.
- Ability to manage complex and highly confidential information.
- Numerate, with the ability to present and analyse data and information.
- Excellent command of the English language, both in communication ability and in drafting skills.
- Knowledge of advanced MS office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent social skills, able to operate with diplomacy, tact and empathy.
- Have a bias towards execution and delivery.

This exciting opportunity provides a +- 18 month learning opportunity building perspective of the OMiX businesses as a whole. Following the period as Executive Assistant, the candidate will be well positioned to move into a role within OMiX, or the broader Old Mutual group, and will be supported in doing so, subject to acceptable performance.
This role provides support to the OML Chief Operating Officer (COO) on key strategic projects and day to day deliverables. The role involves working closely with the COO and OMiX Exco and other key stakeholders both within and outside the broader Old Mutual Limited business.
Note: This is not a secretarial / personal assistant role and requires an individual with a relevant postgraduate degree.Key Performance Areas:
