Job Description

In this role you will:

• Plan and develop menus for the hotel considering factors such as product availability, service cost, marketing conditions, number to be served, etc.
• Prepare and post employee work schedules to keep within budgeted figures.
• Coordinate and supervise the ordering of all food supplies and kitchen equipment.
• Hire, train, discipline, supervise and organize all kitchen personnel.
• Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of all food preparation equipment.
• Ensure all municipal and state laws regarding hygiene and security are respected.
• Direct and oversee the continuous development, evaluation and revision of recipes and menus.
• Investigate and research industry competition and develop new concepts in hotel culinary operations.
• Oversee the requirements, inventories and maintenance of operating equipment, supplies and product stocks for the operations of the culinary department.

Qualifications

The Executive Chef is responsible for:

• Managing, directing and overseeing all culinary and stewarding operations for The Sofitel Luxembourg Le Grand Ducal, which includes the Restaurant MULuxembourg, The Bar L’observatoire, banquets and in-room dining, to ensure maximum guest satisfaction, consistently high-quality service, and maximum profitability.
• Creating an engaging work environment for your team, as important as turning moments into memories for our guests.
• The standards and values you model as an Executive Chef will inspire your team - not only to ensure exceptional culinary service, but also to grow their careers with Accor.
• Current on all culinary trends and active in the furthering of his/her own culinary development
• Extremely creative with strong service skills and demonstrated ability to energize a diverse team of culinary professionals.
• Proven financial planning skills with the ability to analyze date and trends and implement strategies for improvement.

Additional Information

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Luxembourg. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining European work authorization.
