      Description

Are you skilled at delivering results, meeting deadlines, and managing projects? Do you thrive within structured systems and enjoy following established processes? Are you familiar with Virginia Civil Procedure?

If so, we want to hear from you!

Thomas Law P.C., a Virginia-based business law firm, is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our team and help deliver outstanding results to our clients.

We offer a dynamic, flexible remote culture that promotes collaboration while supporting a high-performance, results-driven environment. With a busy litigation practice, we're looking for someone who excels under pressure and is committed to getting things done.

This position may be fully remote or hybrid. This role will not be a good fit for someone whose goal is to go to law school.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of experience in civil litigation and in Virginia Circuit Court and General District Court procedures.

      Responsibilities
      • Provide concierge-level service to clients, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
      • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships through clear, consistent communication.
      • Prioritize and meet both interim and final deadlines.
      • Conduct legal research and writing: draft, review, and edit legal documents.
      • Manage litigation correspondence, prepare and file pleadings, and work closely with attorneys to achieve excellent outcomes.
      • Communicate with team members, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other key case contacts.
      • Take ownership of responsibilities while remaining accountable to the team.

      Qualifications
      • Minimum of two years of paralegal experience, with preference for candidates with business law or related experience.
      • Experience with calendar management.
      • High attention to detail with the ability to prepare and review documents accurately.
      • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
      • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and resourceful approach to challenges.
      • Emotional intelligence and confidence to be kindly assertive with clients when necessary.
      • Dependable, responsible, and self-motivated in task completion.
      • Ability to meet and exceed monthly performance metrics.
      • Technical proficiency with cloud-based systems like Microsoft Office (familiarity with Clio, and/or Lexus Nexus a plus).

      Benefits Offered:
      • Health Insurance
      • Unlimited PTO
      • Life Insurance

If this sounds like a good fit, we encourage you to apply!
