- A minimum of 6 months experience with REAL-TIME documentation of live patient encounters.
- Strong knowledge of the SOAP note format.
- Experience with EMRs such as Epic, Cerner, eClinical, Athena, etc.
- Familiarity with a wide range of medical terminology, procedures, and medications.
- Flexibility to work uninterrupted 8-to-10 hour shifts between 7am and 7pm, Monday through Friday. (Part-time requires a minimum of 3 or 4 days per week. Full-time is not always available).
- Must be able to maintain and work from a HIPAA-compliant home office space with secure, high-speed internet access.
- Strong communication skills including:
- Ability to hear and understand all information provided by patient or healthcare provider in a remote environment and transcribe into clear written records.
- Excellent listening skills and ability to understand diverse accents and dialects of physicians, their staff, and patients.
- Remote scribing experience.
- A typing speed of 60+ wpm with high accuracy.
- Familiarity with Google applications.
- Training in medical terminology and the SOAP note format is not provided with this position.
- It is required to complete Team Training (real-time shadowing of assigned clinician) and a required evaluation to continue working as an AQuity Virtual Medical Scribe.

Our Virtual Medical Scribes are responsible for capturing the pertinent information from patient encounters in REAL-TIME. This is NOT a medical transcription opportunity. Encounters are NOT recorded and cannot be transcribed on your own time.

Compensation and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $12.00 to $15.00 per hour (unless dictated by state/local minimum wage). Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to current market conditions, location, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Aquity Solutions offers a competitive benefits package including healthcare, 401k, and paid time off (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements for full-time employees).
