- Works with Analytics team to develop visualizations supporting complex analytics projects
- Manages end-to-end BI development from gathering requirements through deployment
- Develops new data models, reports, and dashboards using Power BI
- Manages multiple data analysis and visualization projects or initiatives
- Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Delivers and presents content and stories to leadership in various forms
- Provides guidance and training for other Analysts and line of business partners as needed
- Works with department leaders, project managers, and line of business partners to identify opportunities to improve Health & Safety reporting
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- 6 years job-related experience
- Experience developing interactive dashboards and visual reports in Power BI
- Progressive experience working with data and providing ad-hoc reporting
- Effective use of SQL and Power Query for ETL (Extract Transformation & Load)
- Effectively write DAX formulas to create measures and extract meaningful data
- Advanced skills in working with Excel, Access, SQL Server, SAP, and other similar applications
- Experience using Python or R
- Tableau development experience
- MBA or graduate degree
- Project management skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
- Must be adaptable to ambiguity and changing business conditions
- Familiarity with PG&E Health & Safety systems, programs, and data

Department Overview
The Reporting & Analytics group is part of the Business Operations team in Enterprise Health & Safety. The team provides actionable safety reporting and analytics to help leaders reduce risk of future injuries and drive safety program strategy.
Position Summary
The Expert Business Analyst will report to the Manager of Systems & Reporting in the Business Operations group of Enterprise Health & Safety and will be responsible for helping to advance health and safety business insights by developing, enhancing, and managing various reports, dashboards, scorecards, and other data visualization tools. Focus on this role is Power BI development (Consultation - Development - Deployment)
This position will require coordinating with department leaders, project managers, and line of business representatives to understand their business needs. Working with data, critical thinking, problem solving, and developing solutions in the Power BI environment will be a large portion of daily activities. Experience with Power BI is very important for this job.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $114,000
Bay Area Maximum: $182,000
and/or
California Minimum: $108 ,000
California Maximum: $173 ,000
