- Assist with the license application review process, including providing support for escalatory meetings.
- Provide support for interdiction efforts, as needed.
- Manage office and interagency task assignments.
- Participate in technical reviews, providing analysis.
- Represent the Program in interagency groups.
- Assist with oversight and policy direction.
- Program management, including tracking budgets, deliverables and metrics.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject matter (Masters preferred)
- DOE Q clearance - current and active (preferred) or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
- Minimum three years of experience in the field
- Ability to work effectively with other DOE offices as well as other agencies
- Good customer relation skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Applicants should have a demonstrated track record of experience and knowledge in export controls, and have the ability to work with various groups, and the confidence to develop innovative solutions to address current or future challenges.
- Experience with DOE/NNSA
- Be resident in or willing to relocate to the National Capital Area
POSITION SUMMARY
The Office of Nuclear Export Controls (ONEC) helps build U.S. and global export control capacity to detect and prevent the illicit or inadvertent transfer of nuclear and dual-use materials, equipment, and technology. ONEC’s Export Control Review and Compliance/Interdiction (ECRC/I) Program contributes to this mission by reviewing U.S. export license applications, providing support to USG interdiction efforts, participating in USG delegations to the multilateral export control regimes, and providing training to the DOE complex and the interagency on nonproliferation, export control, and emerging technology topics. MELE is seeking applications for full-time employment by applicants with a background in export controls.
This position is contingent upon client approval. This position is located in Washington, DC.
