      External Manufacturing (EM) Artwork Specialist


      The purpose of this role is to ensure the complaint, timely and efficient pack change management for products supplied from external 3rd party Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) to commercial markets.

      In this role you will …

      • Act as EM artwork point of contact for CMO and GSK stakeholders (e.g. for artwork business operational review, CMO performance, escalation on artwork changes, problem solving, remedy tickets).
      • Manage often complex supply artwork relationships with multiple CMOs and drive problem solving actions.
      • Facilitate performance management with CMO via regular calls to ensure no stock outs/predicted stock outs related to artwork. To Monitor and work with the site KPIs to reduce lead time for site tasks related to artwork process.
      • Manage transfers, acquisitions, divestments, launches and other resupply artwork projects and provide artwork status to stakeholders (e.g. CMO onboarding).
      • Ensure artwork readiness for manufacturing on time by CMO performance oversight and managing the escalations within pack management process.
      • Minimize the risks of delayed orders, supply disruption, delayed launches and artwork recalls related to artwork creation.
      • Attend cross functional meetings and CMO Oversight to improve regional intelligence and performance.
      • Manage EM portfolio lifecycle in GSK Artwork system (NPI, discontinuations, transfers, launches, divestment, acquisition)
      • Collaborate with PQTS+ to ensure that all matters relating to changes are fully discussed, understood and communicated and that activities are carried out to ensure security of supply to commercial customers. Collaborate with ES Quality Managers to ensure that artworks are correctly aligned with Quality data and collaborate with ES Supply and Planning to align pack changes with planned and/or confirmed orders
      • Facilitate regulatory challenges management across functions to ensure supply continuity.
      • Manage continuous Improvements (e.g. portfolio simplification, technical issues, shared packs) with focus on packaging optimization/standardization, complexity reduction and cost reduction/saving
      • Design, implement and deliver robust ways of working with each partnership including different scenarios e.g. 3rd Party customers, multiple markets across dose forms.
      • Manage CMO performance oversight via Artwork system solution (GLAMS – Global Labelling Artwork Management System)
      • Create and approve lifecycle changes for packs/components in GLAMS
      • Manage GLAMS access for CMO users
      • Deliver efficiency improvements by implementing a true continuous improvement mindset working closely with cross-functional colleagues

      Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

      • Artwork management to ensure supply continuity and compliance with regulatory requirements, GSK policies and standards
      • Delivering products of value at optimum cost
      • Relationship and KPI management
      • Define Ways of Working with the assigned CMOs
      • Represent External Manufacturing during continues improvement initiatives for artwork management process
      • Maintain overview of metrics and performance measures to ensure that appropriate signals can be determined in a timely fashion
      • Proactively manage risk and develop mitigation plans and execute risk mitigation plan
      • Apply the knowledge of GLAMS and External Manufacturing processes to support CMO in multiple markets across dose forms
      • Facilitate the discussion between Artwork & Packaging Services and CMO for any issues e.g. related to Site technical drawing
