      WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

      The ideal candidate will fabricate, layout, position, align, fit, and weld parts of structural metal parts pipe layout including sanitary welding process.


      JOB DUTIES:

      • Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits by following blueprints and layout specifications
      • Use MIG and TIG welders, plasma cutters, grinders and hand tools
      • Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, levels, and measuring tapes
      • Tack-weld fitted parts together
      • Layout and examine metal stock or work pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met
      • Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers
      • Locate, mark work piece bending, cutting lines; allowing for stock thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and other component specifications
      • Move parts into position, manually, with hoists, or cranes
      • Set up and operate fabricating machines such as, shear, Ironworker, drill press, pipe bender and band saw to bend cut, form, punch, drill or otherwise form and assemble metal components
      • Will fit stainless and carbon steel schedule pipe, as well as sanitary process piping
      • Use aerial man lifts to install equipment and utilities

      WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

      REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

      • Work safely and efficiently
      • Able to read blueprints
      • Able to competently weld stainless and carbon steel using MIG and TIG processes
      • Detail-oriented and enjoy working in a fast paced environment
      • Able to perform a broad range of duties
      • Good communication skills and problem solving skills
      • Knowledge of basic mathematic skills
      • Pass and maintain forklift certification

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

      • High School Diploma or GED
      • 2-5 years of experience as a Fabricator
      • Valid CA Driver license and clean driving record

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Shear and break experience preferred but willing to train

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

      • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
      • Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, gases, inclement weather, and cold storage temperatures
      • Able to work up to 50 feet above the ground
      • Able to work in confined space areas

      HOURS & WORKDAYS:

      • 1st Shift (7am-3:30pm) Friday-Tuesday (Wednesday and Thursday off), when business requires overtime and weekends will be mandatory
