JOB PURPOSE:
Manage supply network procurement related activities for Caterpillar Articulated Trucks facility to deliver procurement excellence and integration between multiple stakeholders. Deliver a lean, responsive and resilient services flow for the facility from source to dock. Demonstrate leadership in ensuring that all departmental processes are performed within and adhere to compliance guidelines.JOB DUTIES:
Accountable for transacting and monitoring the Global Supply Network procurement functions, as designed, to meet the defined response time, cost, quality and lean targets enabling optimal and efficient facility operations, collaborating with business partners and suppliers, and resolving facility specific supplier issues.Responsible for leading Facility Supply Direct Material compliance adherence. Documenting, compiling, and auditing direct material transactions to ensure compliance requirements are adhered to.
Act as conduit between Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Product Group, Business Resources, Category Teams, Agile Purchasing Professionals, Intercompany and External Suppliers.
Purchase Order Management – Provide expertise in the launching & management of direct material purchase orders for a facility. Ensuring terms related to pilots, production, and supplier tooling orders are correct. Resolution of any grief arising from purchase orders or associated invoice documents.
Accountable for implementing the network as designed related to specific strategies from both Category & Product Supply at the Facility level to create a competitive advantage for our customers and in adherence to all compliance requirements.
Strategy - Support and participate in projects/initiatives to fully satisfying facilities expectations. Assist in the management of local subcontractors with input from the Category buyer related to the overall strategy. Collaborate with supply chain to support sustaining of inventory levels.NPI – Support the management and tracking of purchase orders and availability of NPI material and components in line with NPI project requirements.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.Previous procurement experience
Knowledge and experience of compliance structure and requirements
Bachelor’s degree – or equivalent experience
Process driven and methodical with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of functional and multi-functional teams
Project Management and administration experience
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Computer literacy including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE DESIRED
Internal Audit experience
Professional certification in Purchasing and/or Inventory ManagementPrevious 6 Sigma Greenbelt/Black Belt experience.
Knowledge of Quality, Lean Manufacturing and an understanding of lean principles.
