Help define strategy and contract statements of work for effective management of approx. 10M spend across San Diego and approx. 15M spend across AMR region. Look to drive best practice in contract language and innovation in ensuring service providers meet or exceed expectations daily
Create, align, award, administer and monitor performance of local and regional contracts for all facility services to include but not limited to: waste management, fitness, pest control, grounds keeping, mail, food services, vending, transportation, janitorial, repair and maintenance, and others as needed
Improve tools to enable team to monitor contracts, solve any contract-related problems and partner with Procurement to ensure alignment
Serve as a SME on facility contract terms and conditions and drive best practice into service contracts and negotiations. Actively participate in negotiations and change orders ensuring SME knowledge and cost modeling depth
Monitor and cultivate vendor/supplier relationships to ensure that the suppliers efficiently and effectively provide needed goods and services within budget and SOW via regular performance reviews, QBR’s and Metrics reviews
Provide metrics and execute analysis used for driving performance of function and supports decision making by leadership
Provide design assistance / direction to ensure the design details for all site services concepts are in line with the Illumina needs and standards
Work with cross-functional project teams to ensure that the facilities meet current and future site services and amenities needs
Oversee requisition process and budget management process for site. Oversee budget and expense management for San Diego Site Services. Includes procurement, processing of requisitions, invoices and tracking budget performance.
Responsible for the development, monitoring and controls of the budget for facilities services. Prepare facilities services budget for the team to have adequate funds for general operations
Build and develop a highly effective & engaged team ensuring the business and customer needs are met
Drive documentation of roles and responsibilities and necessary playbook references to ensure standardization
Ensure site and employee performance are in compliance with the GMP regulatory & quality policy and procedures
Recommend, lead, and support process improvement initiatives in facilities and in collaboration with other groups
Ability to use advanced planning concepts and objectives to resolve highly complex issues and provide high level expertise and assistance to senior management
Stay updated on global/regional policies, regulations, and business/market environments; communicate and collaborate closely with partner teams and stakeholders advising as applicable
Acquires and maintains a clear understanding of the technologies utilized in Illumina’s processes
Undertake additional activities as required, within the scope of the role
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Contract Management, Business Administration or business related field
Must have 8 years related experience, with 1-3 years of Management experience
Proven leadership capabilities; outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
In-depth knowledge of Supplier Management
Strong organizational skills. Skill at organizing team’s work and priorities. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Powerpoint, Access)
Must have the ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations
Ability to analyze and resolve problems independently

Under guidance of the Sr. Manager provides leadership and oversight to San Diego Vendor Management team and San Diego budget management. This Facilities leader supports, influences, and implements corporate strategies for San Diego Site Services and oversees site services contracts for the AMR region.

The estimated base salary range for the Facilities Services & Contracts Manager role based in the United States of America is: $103,500 - $155,300. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
