      POSITION SUMMARY

      Introducing Nestlé Purina’s new Williamsburg Township, Ohio, factory – just 30 miles east of Cincinnati. This world-class factory will be built from the ground up to produce a wide variety of some of the most trusted and beloved pet care brands in the U.S. Our passionate team in Williamsburg Township will work in an environment that values safety, the latest technology in manufacturing and a culture of learning.       As the Factory QA Data & Formulation Specialist, you will be responsible for the development and compliance of the factory’s quality testing data and specifications to ensure all products are manufactured, packaged, stored, and shipped under safe conditions and to ensure compliance to Company and regulatory requirements. Apply your data analytics skills to create and prepare reports to ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory, and quality specifications. You will have primary responsibility for implementing new product formulation. You will function as a collaborator and key contributor when communicating all quality results, plus corrections and process improvement recommendations across the factory.

      • Manage Quality Assurance data, generate and review QA compliance reports, address any QA matters related to specifications, data, and raw material or finished product status control
      • Perform finished product releases and organize, analyze, and file all QA records.
      • Generate reports for consumer complaints, holds, and finished product compliance.
      • Identify trends and improvement opportunities for consumer complaints, holds, and finished product compliance.
      • Develop, coordinate, and implement new formulation, new materials and ingredients, test runs, specification changes, and product improvement efforts in the factory.
      • Lead change management for QA data change processes.
      • Lead the technician qualification program.
      • Oversee the calibration and verification program for QA equipment and testing methods.
      • Participate in continuous improvement activities and uphold Safety and Quality as core values.

      Requirements

      • High school diploma or equivalent required
      • 2+ years of laboratory, quality assurance and/or food manufacturing experience required

      Other

      • Associates or bachelor’s degree in science related field (Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, related technical field) is preferred
      • PCQI certification preferred
      • HACCP experience preferred

      This position will require travel up to 50% for the first 18 months and will gradually reduce as the Williamsburg Township facility approaches operational startup. The travel will include training at other Nestle Purina operating facilities and will assist with the startup of our Eden, NC plant.

      The approximate pay range for this position is $60,000 to $86,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
