Classification Title: Compliance Analyst V
Job Description: -Administer and manage all daily functions of the UF’s Facility Security program. Ensure compliance with UF and federal regulations, policies, and procedures governing the protection of classified information. Support all security functions related to personnel, facilities, and infrastructure in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and all applicable federal requirements. Store, maintain and account for classified materials in accordance with the NISPOM and through coordination with government agencies. Oversee closeout for all classified projects.
-Conduct outreach and interface with internal stakeholders. Prepare and submit required reports to applicable government oversight agencies and oversees classified visits at UF. Provides security education training and awareness and plays a crucial role in safeguarding classified information. Prepare and submit reports to federal cognizant agencies as required.
-Lead reporting requirements for personnel security application management. Submit, process, and maintain personnel security applications with the Defense Security Service (DSS). Create, provide annual and ad hoc training for classified/secure personnel, and track completion.
-Conduct ongoing reviews of security processes to ensure compliance with relevant laws and determine the adequacy of coverage and effectiveness of the facility security program and components including policies and procedures; roles and responsibilities; training; program implementation; communication and resources. Conduct self-monitoring and correction of identified issues and develop and implement improvement plans as needed.
Expected Salary: $85,000-$100,000
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications: -Masters degree or JD.
-Experience understanding complex regulations and applying them in an academic setting.
-Experience working with university faculty and staff.
-Experience managing a facility/industrial security program under the NISPOM in an academic setting- Knowledge of NISPOM and DoD security requirements
-Must hold a current / active U.S. security clearance at the TOP SECRET level or obtain a clearance within 6 months of hire.
-Four years’ of experience with security requirements for sensitive security programs, including DoD; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
