      The Family Office is a sub department of our Real Estate OFA practice that provides clients with the resources they need to manage complex financial affairs and reach their personal and family goals. With an emphasis on effective administration, coordination, and planning, we work alongside Moss Adams wealth management and tax professionals as well as our clients outside advisors to ensure that family wealth is properly managed to achieve the desired outcome.

      The Family Office Senior Manager will oversee and supervise all Family Office Staff. In addition, the Family Office Senior Manager is responsible for managing the ongoing financial reporting operations including review of periodic financial reports, KPI’s, and other management reports. The Family Office Senior Manager provides critical oversight and account management to ensure the right policies and procedures are implemented, controls are designed to mitigate risk, and ensures reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

      Responsibilities:

      • Responsible for all Family Office Accounting functions in their assigned portfolios reporting directly to the Partners. Performs overview of financial statements for inconsistencies and opportunities of increased revenue generation or cost savings.
      • Maintain existing client relationships and assist Partners in developing new business for the firm in pre-identified industries and demographic sectors
      • Ensure that all company policies, procedures, and processes are adhered to at all times and that all assigned work is delivered on time and accurately to the client
      • Provide guidance and supervision of engagement teams to ensure all deadlines are met. Ensures important information from management is shared with employees and others as appropriate
      • Facilitates teams though problem solving and creative thinking processes leading to the development and implementation of new approaches, systems, structures, and methods
      • Follows sales process to increase firm’s probabilities of winning and maintains adequate number of active opportunities to achieve annual sales goal
      • Coordinate annual audit and/or tax return with outside CPA firm
      • Reviews journal entries prepared by team members and facilitates updates needed to the general ledger and other data requirements
      • Stay abreast of business, industry, and market information that may reveal business opportunities or risks
      • Follow sales process to increase firm’s probabilities of winning and maintain adequate number of active opportunities to achieve annual sales goal

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree required and 7 years of relevant experience or equivalent
      • CPA Preferred
      • Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook required. Experience with QuickBooks Online, and other cloud accounting tools preferred.
      • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, employee benefits, and general ledger accounting.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Ability to direct, develop, and coach team members
      • Experience in autonomous decision making weighing the costs, benefits, risk and chances for success
      • Experience in applying a strategic process to generate new opportunities with clients and prospects
      • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 15%
