Description
SALARY: $75,000 - $82,500 DOE, EXEMPT SALARIED POSITION-
SUMMARY: Responsible for the direct supervision of the AP Family Service Workers; monitoring the quality assurance aspects of the ongoing case management; and assure compliance with California Department of Education/Child Development Division contract funding terms and conditions including the Desired Result.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following as well as other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
I. ORGANIZATIONAL/ADMINISTRATIVE
• Interview job applicants and participate in selection of AP staff.
• Provide AP training and staff development.
• Review and audit the KinderTrack software system as needed.
• Monitor performance and conduct performance evaluations for AP Family Service Workers.
• Maintain comprehensive understanding of current AP state regulations, Title 5 and Title 22.
• Develop and implement state regulations and policies and procedures and seek clarifications as needed.
• Work in collaboration with agency staff to provide assurances of quality control which includes review of case documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Determine and takes necessary action to correct family file errors.
• Coordinates activities to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
• Assists with the preparation of all AP client Hearings and Appeals.
• Assists in preparing and analyzing unit specific reports as may be required by the state.
• Assists in coordinating with Fiscal all documentation (client files, attendance sheets and payment records) needed during state APMU.
• Maintain high levels of confidentiality when working with sensitive and personal client and employee information.
• Work in conjunction with site supervisors and management to achieve enrollment goals.
• Participate in professional development opportunities successfully implementing new skills, knowledge and procedures.
• Reviews contract status monthly with Family Service Director and assists in adjusting enrollment plan as necessary.
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
• Strategizes with Family Service Director to formulate goals and objectives for the AP unit.
• Provide monthly report to Family Service Director regarding current activities and meet monthly.
• Review and maintain AP provider rosters.
• Assists in review, maintain, update and training AP agency staff on KinderTrack software.
• Create Agency Reports to project under earning/over earning of AP contracts.
• Plan and facilitate regular meetings with AP staff.
II. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Attend public speaking conferences, workshops and seminars.
• Meet with other departments monthly to strategize and problem solve issues related to budgets, contract earnings and program quality.
• Serve as an active member of the Go Kids, Inc. Administrative/Program Team.
• Other duties as assigned by Family Service Director and Chief Financial Officer.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Requires expertise in ECE, Title 22, Title 5 and local laws and regulations governing childcare, safety and education, knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of child care education and development.
• Must be organized, creative, independent and self-motivated, enthusiastic, dependable, detail-oriented, flexible in scheduling and prioritization, and driven by excellence.
• Must possess good communication skills to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form, including accurate grammar and business correspondence knowledge.
• Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships; demonstrated ability to communicate in situations requiring tact and poise; skilled in confidentiality and discretion.
• Must present a neat, professional appearance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A/S.) in Child Development or a related field or equivalent from a 4 year college or certificate program.
• Supervisory experience (3-5 years) necessary.
• Must be able to pass a fingerprint and criminal clearance.
• Two-three (2-3) years related experience working in a similar position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with nonprofit agencies with state and federal regulations preferred.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Computer literacy on IBM compatible PC with working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of employees and supervisors.
• Valid California driver’s license, personal automobile insurance and reliable transportation required.
• Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures with conformance to the prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from government entities, employees, managers, clients, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate figures & amounts with a 10 Key.
REASONING ABILITY:
• Ability to define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables, occasionally in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions and wet (humid) conditions and is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can sometimes be noisy.
