      AXA prides itself on having an in-house investigations team (ACIT), who investigate across both the Commercial and Retail Business areas. Due to an increase in motor case investigations, we require a Field Investigator based in London and the Southeast to join our team.

      You’ll be primarily responsible for investigating motor personal injury claims and any other investigations adopted by ACIT such as home and travel cases. You’ll interview relevant parties and assemble field intelligence, liability, indemnity, quantum, and fraud into typed reports to progress the investigation.

      At AXA we work smart, this role is non-office based so whilst you’ll work from home, you’ll be expected to frequently travel in and around London and the South East to visit offices and client sites occasionally at short notice. There may also be the occasional minimal requirement to travel further afield across the UK.

      You’ll work full time, 35 hours per week over 5 days. There may be some unsociable hours but as you'll arrange your own appointments, you're empowered to do what it takes to meet customer expectations whilst maintaining your own work-life balance.

      What you’ll be doing:

      • Investigate motor personal injury claims and others for customers in the London and SE area.
      • Represent AXA in face-to-face dealings with our policyholders, providing technically accurate and helpful advice to represent the company.
      • Interview instructed parties face-to-face or by telephone, be it policyholder, driver, witness, police, or other relevant party and obtain detailed signed CPR compliant statements in accordance with relevant legislation and procedures.
      • Attend accident scenes (locus) and provide factual reports with findings in accordance with procedures.
      • Undertake various ad-hoc field intelligence enquiries, often self-motivated and provide factual reports with findings in accordance with agreed procedures.
      • On conclusion of all investigations, a comprehensive final report will need to be compiled and submitted.
      • Work with your own initiative displaying excellent time management skills.
      • Be involved in internal projects and initiatives with the opportunity to lead on internal change programmes.

      What we're looking for:

      • Hold or have made progress towards industry recognised qualification e.g. level 3 award for Professional Investigators (QCF) or equivalent.
      • Have or be willing to commit to qualifications in Insurance such as the CII qualifications.
      • Experience in or evidence of working towards a Field Investigator career.
      • Handling, or working knowledge of motor claims/ insurance.
      • Claims fraud investigation experience would be beneficial.
      • Sound knowledge of the claims process, reserving and assessment methods.
      • Understanding of legal processes and recent experience of investigation and negotiation.
      • Strong proactive approach to claims investigation and negotiation and a commitment to customer service.
      • Full driving license.

      As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
