- Provides leadership in marketing strategy development, execution, and management for identified markets, including key leadership and support of market planning and transformation initiatives.
- Drives the development of regional and local marketing plans, tactics, and resources to achieve brand/company goals.
- Directs the field marketing managers in developing marketing programs for initiatives, campaigns, promotions, and product launches to achieve desired objectives/targets and support the overall brand strategy.
- Manage market-level SSS/SST performance.
- Collaborates with external partners and the creative team to oversee the development of promotional materials and marketing elements that align with the overall brand voice, platform, and strategy and increase sales.
- Directs the development of marketing capabilities (e.g., training guides, local marketing toolkits, marketing mix models, etc.) to ensure successful local implementation of national programs.
- Directs the implementation of marketing and campaign plans, including positioning, campaign development strategies, and market strategy insights.
- Oversees projects, programs, and vendor relationships, develops and executes against timelines, tracks performance, and ensures projects are within budget, meet quality standards, and align with key performance indicators and brand standards.
- Leads key local marketing projects and programs (e.g., mobile and online ordering, digital marketing, email marketing, etc.) to support the overall brand strategy.
- Builds effective working relationships with franchisees and vendors to translate franchisees' needs into action.
- Holds others accountable for conducting business in a legal and ethical manner while complying with policies, laws, and regulations related to business and employment.
- Provide operational, functional, and technical leadership and oversee people processes and programs across the team to ensure talent for current and future needs.
- Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills; communicates effectively with various contacts (internal and external)
- Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
- Participates in company meetings, webinars and conference calls
- Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements
- BA/BS Degree in a related field preferred.
- Must possess approximately 10 years of any combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of Field Marketing in the restaurant industry.
- Must possess approximately 5 years of team member management experience.
- Proven track record of brand growth, development, and general management.
- Demonstrated understanding and practice of business development and expansion modes and models.
- Marketing experience in an executive leadership role operating in multi-unit consumer facing businesses and franchise operations.
- Proven ability to understand and drive franchisee growth.
- Expert collaborator, negotiator, and influencer.
- Creative problem solver and innovative thinker.
- Must display strong analytical and organizational skills and have the ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business results
- Must have strong work ethics and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information
- Restaurant Support Center that is a fast paced, high volume of activity and a deadline driven environment
- Sitting for extended periods of time, using telephone, typing and/or operating a computer and/or mouse
- Travels as needed approximately 50%
POSITIO N SUMMARY
The Director of Field Marketing is responsible for driving sales by creating, developing, and applying innovative marketing strategies across regions, markets, and restaurant trade areas for their respective brand. By intimately knowing their markets and trade areas, they create the most efficient strategy for building sales using a mix of customized market-level initiatives, “off-the-shelf” programs and partnerships, sponsorships, and events. High responsibility for gaining the trust of franchise partners and company operations leaders by spending time in the markets, developing an expert level of market knowledge, and creating a comprehensive “toolbox” of marketing wins for each market. This role will also manage the advertising cooperatives across all markets - overseeing the activities of the restaurants, including determining, establishing, and implementing effective operating procedures and providing strategic planning.
